She is a “larger than life figure,” who tells her story in the film, claiming to be the “queen of house.” Bratton says one of his favorite filmmakers is John Waters, and compares Cain’s role in the film to Divine in Waters’ movies. “I just found her to be charismatic and interesting, and she has a certain kind of star quality about her,” he says.
